ACHIEVING THE SULTRY FOX EYE LOOK WITH A BROW LIFT

If you follow social media or beauty trends, you’ve surely heard about fox eyes. Thanks to famous supermodels like Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid, almond-shaped and upturned eyes are one of the cosmetic industry’s most requested looks. By turning up the corners of the eyes and reshaping the brows, eyes are taking a flattering, exotic, and sultry turn. People on TikTok and other social media are even shaving off their eyebrows at home and going to great lengths with makeup to mimic the look, but cosmetic procedures offer the best results.

While few people are born with such a unique eye shape, there are several ways to create the look using both surgical and non-surgical techniques. A combination of Botox, PDO threads, and fillers can achieve a temporary adjustment to the eye shape, but a surgical brow lift is the most effective and permanent choice. This treatment basically involves lifting the outer corner of the upper eyelid and slightly pulling it towards the temples, achieving the fox eye look without any upkeep or maintenance.

What’s a Brow Lift?

A brow lift (also known as a forehead lift or browplasty) is a plastic surgery procedure that raises the eyebrows to a higher and more aesthetic position. It has long been used to reverse signs of aging on the face by removing forehead lines, winkles, and scowl lines between the eyebrows. Now, it’s appealing to an ever younger crowd through its ability to sculpt the eye brow shape and achieve the popular fox eye look. When combined with blepharoplasty, results can be even more dramatic.

What’s Blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty is also known as an eyelid lift. Traditionally, blepharoplasty is most commonly used to reverse signs of aging by tightening sagging skin and tissue around the upper and lower eyelids. Combined with a brow lift, however, it’s a secondary step you can include in your procedure to further enhance your eyes and achieve that supermodel fox eye look. These two procedures offer dramatic results with very limited downtime.

What’s the Procedure Like?

During a forehead lift, tiny incisions are made in the hairline around the forehead. From these incisions, the brow can be lifted to a higher position. During the brow lift, the muscles that cause frown lines can actually be severed to remove the frown lines and keep them from coming back.

Browplasty may require either local or general anesthesia. Pain medication may be needed afterward along with cold compresses. Bruising and swelling usually abate quickly. Any external stitches can be removed in about a week. Results should be apparent very soon after the procedure.
