WHITE AFTER LABOR DAY? But of course!!! By: Alicia Hvistendahl September 2013

Screen Shot 2013-09-13 at 7.51.53 AM_0-1Gone are the days of white tones only being Spring & Summer clothing options to wear due to the heat and “time of year”. White adds a clean pop to any outfit and can truly be worn year round if done in the correct way.

The layering of parchment to oyster to cream looks so appealing and cozy, even more so long after the summer sun sets.

How to stay on trend: Yes….You can still wear your white jeans into Fall and even Winter if they are paired with or tucked into a dark boot. Pair with a chunky sweater for a cozy look with a pop of white. Mix white jeans with chocolate browns, charcoals or blacks for a crisp look anytime.

My top 5 favorite ways to wear white into the wintertime…

1. White jeans paired with tall boots or over the ankle booties

2. Winter white coat

3. White dress paired with tall dark boots (can also add leather jacket)

4. White infinity scarf to accent any outfit

5. Pairing white denim with metallics or animal print

So much for the old rule, “No white after Labor Day”. That rule is so broken, now the hottest trend is wearing winter white. Enough already with that taboo!
